no kidding, the first ten minutes of the rescuers down under are so, so good.

OH. MY. GOD.
reblogging for rosina.
and i came across a notebook that my parents kept when i (alayna) was 2 and my brother (beau) was 4. i had an amazing childhood. some choice bits:
- Joe took a walk with the kids today and on their way back they passed the funeral home just as the director was bringing out a coffin. Beau started singing what he called “a happy tune” and didn’t notice what was going on. These kids are so full of life and we love them so much.
- Joe asked Alayna what a duck says, what a dog says, and what a kitty says, and she answered right all three times. When he asked her what a robin said, she said Holy Moly Batman.
- Later we watched a Betty Boop cartoon. Boop sang that she was a poor cinderella and nobody loves her at all. Beau turned to us and said, “She doesn’t know she loves the self inside her.”
- Alayna saw a woman walking a boxer dog today and she kept saying “Batdog! Batdog!”
- Layna can scratch her head with her feet while watching TV on the couch. (he drew a heart here; i can still do that, incidentally)
